Ok, sometimes I create something so good I just have to share!
This pizza ROCKED!
I took this dough recipe: read carefully, this one recipe is supposedly enough dough for SIX 8 to 9 inch pizzas! I made one pizza. -lol- The dough was a little dense. Still tasty though.

I didn't have any pizza sauce so I took the 8 roma tomatoes my neighbor gave me a few days ago (they were WAY ripe), skinned, seeded and chopped them. In a saucepan I added a little water to the tomatoes, a mix of seasonings: onion powder, garlic powder, oregano, basil, salt and sugar and boiled the hell out of it. It reduced nicely and was SO flavorful!
I had bacon, ham and onions as toppings along with some mozzarella cheese. Even picky Ken admitted it was good. And the best part? I didn't have to go to the store for anything! I'm so proud of myself.

Frugal AND tasty. It just doesn't get better than that!

Imho, there are few things finer than homemade pizza. :o)
Our favorites are with several cheeses (mozzarella, cheddar & provalone or jack), olives, artichoke hearts, sauteed onions & chicken or turkey, with basil pesto underneath and a sprinkling of parmesan on top. (Oh, and sliced fresh tomatoes on top is heavenly, too! lol)
Way to go, Melly!
That looks sooooooo good!
