doesn't this look like fun?

My new friend, Rhonda described knitting on double pointed needles as, "wrestling with a porcupine." I cannot think of a more accurate description. This doesn't look like fun, this looks like torture! Forget dripping water, boards under the nails and electro-shock. You want to torture someone? Give them FIVE sticks and a ball of yarn!

Are we having fun yet?

Thanks for mentioning me in your blog! I'm famous! Your sock is looking good, chica. You should be proud!

Pbthththt!!! :P You're joking right? Mostly?

It's not hard, not torture, you just work with two of the sticks at a time...

Hey, ho-bag, them's some mighty fine ribs ya got there! when you get your feet under you (pun not intended, but we'll use it) you'll do entire sock legs in the ribbing, it'll go *fast* and you'll basically be doing it for the 'show-off' factor. Looking like you might be a real sock knitta after all! Cami

Hi Melly. I lurked on over from Cami's blog and thought I'd leave a comment trail. ;o)

I've noticed it's much, much easier to use four needles instead of five. That way the needles I'm not working with stick forward through the circles made by my thumbs and index fingers. (Oh, and it's WAY easier if the needle you're about to knit from is below the needle on the right and above the needle on the left.)

And hopefully you've already figured all of this out, and the socks are done! I just love that colorway . . . can't wait to see the socks themselves.
